Ingredients

2 cans chick peas pureed

1 small ham steak or back bacon diced

1 cup vegetable broth

1 medium yellow onion rough cut

1 carrot diced

2 tbsp vegetable oil

1 tbsp grated ginger

1 tbsp minced garlic

1 tsp coriander

1 tsp cumin

Preparation

Oil medium sauce pot. Put flame to high. Fry diced ham steak. Put fried ham on the side, leave the oil in the pot.

Fry onions, garlic and ginger in remaining oil until slightly browned. Add more if needed.

Add pureed chick pea (drain most of water before pureeing), vegetable broth, coriander, cumin and carrots.

Let simmer for 30 minutes
