Ingredients

3 c. sugar

4 eggs

1 c. oil

2/3 c. orange juice

2 c. pumpkin or winter squash (canned or fresh steamed/baked and pureed)

3 1/3 c. flour

1 t. salt

2 t. baking soda

1 t. nutmeg

1 t. cinnamon

1 c. raisins

1 c. nuts, chopped

Preparation

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

  1. Mix all ingredients in list order.

  2. Pour batter into 3 greased loaf pans. Fill pans 1/2 full.

  3. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Cool on rack.
