Ingredients

2 cups sugar

1 cup vegetable oil

4 large eggs

1/2 cup water

3 1/2 cups flour

4 teaspoons cinnamon

2 teaspoons baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon ground cloves

2 cups solid canned pumpkin

1 cup shopped pecans (4 oz.)

1/2 cup raisins

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease two 9x5 inch loaf pans. Combine sugar and oil in large bowl. Beat in eggs one at a time. Mi in water. Sift together flour and next 4 ingredients. Stir into egg mixture. Mix in pumpkin. Stir in pecans and raisins. Divide batter between prepared pans. Bake until tester inserted in centers comes out clean, 1 hour.

Cool breads in pans 10 minutes. Turn out on racks and cool completely.
