Ingredients
1 c milk
4 large eggs
3 T sugar
1 t vanilla
0.5 t salt
0.25 t cinnamon
2/3 c flour
4 T butter
12 oz (about 2) apples, peeled, cored, thinly sliced
Preparation
preheat 425 place butter in glass 13 x 9 dish. Place in oven about 5 min to melt butter. Place apple slices over butter in overlapping rows. Return to oven and bake until apples soften and butter is bubbling and browning, about 10 min.
Whisk milk, eggs sugar vanilla salt and cinnamon in large bowl until well blended. add flour and whisk until batter is smooth. Pour batter over apples in dish. Sprinkle w 3 T brown sugar if want. Bake until puffed and brown, about 20 min. Sprinkle with powdered sugar if want.
