Ingredients

2 slices bacon,cooked and chopped

1/2 small onion, chopped

a few springs of cilantro

1 8oz can tomato sauce

4 cloves garlic, chopped

1 15.5oz can dark red kidney beans

2-3 tbsp Goya sofrito

1/2 packet Sazon

Preparation

  1. Heat up some olive oil and fry the onion, garlic, and bacon until onion starts turning golden.
  2. Add cilantro and tomato sauce. Cook stirring until thickened slightly.
  3. Add beans with the liquid from the can, and the sazon.
  4. Simmer covered for 30 minutes or so, stirring frequently.
