Ingredients
12 whole prawns, butterflied
1 medium onion
1 ounce ginger
4 cloves garlic
20 whole cloves
10 cardamom, seeded
1 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
5 tablespoons bread crumbs, seasoned
Preparation
Remove heads from cloves
Remove seeds from cardamom pods
Combine onion, ginger, garlic, cloves, cardamom, cinnamon, and salt in a blender and mix on high until it is a paste
Spread paste in flat pan
Shell, de-vein, butterfly and flatten prawns
Put prawns in pan and cover with paste
Marinade overnight
Mix two eggs in a bowl
Quickly dip prawns in egg, then in bread crumbs
Fry prawns on medium high heat
