Ingredients
1 cup margerine,or Crisco
1 cup salad oil
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp salt
4 cups, plus 4 tbsp white flour
1 tsp baking soda
extra sugar for rolling dough; {may use colored sugars}
raisins or pecan halves
Preparation
Mix all ingredients in order given, mixing each together well. Chill dough for 2 hours minimum. Using a teaspoon, scoop out a small ball of dough, shape with hands into a smooth ball, roll in extra sugar. Place on ungreased baking sheet, press down dough slightly with a fork. Bake at 350 for 12 to 15 minutes, watching to see they don’t become too brown. After coming out of the oven, each cookie can be topped with a raisin or a pecan
