Ingredients

2/3 cup whipped margarine

1/2 cup shortening

3 cups sugar

5 eggs

3 cups all purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 cup milk

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 teaspoon lemon juice

Preparation

Cream maragarine and shortening. Add sugar and cream. Add eggs one at a time and cream. Add dry ingredients and milk alternately, mix well. Add vanilla and lemon juice and mix. Pour into greased and floured tube pan. Place in oven and turn oven to 325 degrees. Bake for 1 hour 15 minutes. Turn off oven and leave cake in oven for 10 minutes. Cool and turn out onto plate.
