Ingredients

-4 t chili powder

-1/4 t dried thyme

-1 T light brown sugar

-1/4 t salt

-1/4 t ground black pepper

-1 large egg

-4 bone-in pork loin chops, 3/4 inch thick (6 ounces each), well trimmed

-1/3 C dried bread crumbs

Preparation

  1. Preheat broiler
  2. On waxed paper, mix bread crumbs, thyme, chili powder, brown sugar, salt, and pepper.
  3. Dip each pork chop into a beaten egg, then coat with crumb mixture
  4. Spray both sides of chops generously with nonstick cooking spray.
  5. Place pork chops on rack in broiling pan about 7-9 inches from heat
  6. Broil 8-10 minutes, turning once
