Ingredients
1 cup water
1 cup raw cane sugar
12-oz bag fresh cranberries (3 cups)
1 pomegranate
4 cinnamon sticks
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg
Preparation
Bring water, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg to a boil, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Add cranberries, pomegranate seeds, and cinnamon sticks and simmer, stirring occasionally, until berries just pop, 10 to 12 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.
