Ingredients
1-2TBSP cooking oil
1 medium onion, chopped
2 medium green peppers cut into strips
2 cloves garlic, chopped
8oz. small pepperoni slices
1 can crushed or pureed tomatoes
1tsp. sugar/or 1 packet artificial sweetener
2tsp. dried basil
1LB pasta of choice
Preparation
In saute or frying pan (with cover), saute onion, pepper strips and garlic until onion and peppers are softened. Add basil and sugar/sweetener to canned tomato, add to saute pan. Bring to boil, the lower heat and simmer 30 minutes. While sauce is simmering, cook pasta and drain. Serve covered with pepperoni sauce. Excellent with garlic bread and salad.
