Ingredients
1 can refrigerated crescent rolls
1 small pckg. pepperoni slices
1 small pckg. shredded mozzarella cheese
1 small bunch fresh basil leaves, chopped
parmesan cheese, optional
1 small jar pizza sauce
Preparation

Unroll crescent rolls and separate. Put 2 triangles together to make a rectangle and seal the seam. Repeat with remaining triangles.
Put about 12 pepperoni slices on each rectangle.
Sprinkle each rectangle with about 1/4 C. of mozzarella. Top with the basil, about 2 Tblsp. per rectangle.
Roll the rectangles up. If you are leaving them whole for the family, roll up starting on a short side. If you are going to slice for appetizers, roll up starting on a long side. For appetizers, slice (with a very good, sharp knife) into 1/2" slices, 5 or 6 per roll.
Place on baking sheet. Sprinkle lightly with parmesan, optional.
Bake as directed on crescent roll package. Check often, as in different ovens, sometimes they cook very quickly.
Serve with pizza sauce for dipping!
