Ingredients
1 puff pastry sheet
3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
3 Tbs cream cheese
1 large egg
tomato sauce
optional: presliced turkey (or meat of choice) cut into 1 cm by 3 cm strips
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Thaw pastry puff sheets for 40 minutes or until soft and at room temperature.
- Beat egg in bowl.
- Mix in all cheeses, beat well and set aside.
- Roll out pastry sheet into a 9 by 12 inch rectangle.
- Cut into 12 rectangles, each 3 by 2 inches.
- Put rectangles onto ungreased baking sheet.
- Spoon 1 Tbs of tomato sauce in the middle of each rectangle.
- Spoon 1 Tbs cheese mixture on top of tomato sauce
- Garnish with 2 pieces of meat, if desired.
- Place baking sheet in oven and bake for 12 minutes, or until puff is golden brown and the edges have puffed up.
- Let cool 5 minutes before enjoying.
