Ingredients

1 box yellow cake mix

eggs as called for in mix

16 maraschino cherries cut in halves

1 cup chopped nuts

1 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup margarine

1 15 oz + 1 8 oz can crushed pineapple

Preparation

drain pineapple reserving juice use two sq glass pans melt 1/2 margarine (butter) in each pan add brown sugar and distribute evenly sprinkle on nuts arrange cherries (9/pan, one/serving) top with crushed pineapple mix batter per box directions using pineapple juice for liquid (plus water as needed) divide batter evenly and add half to each cake pan bake at 350 for 35 min (test with toothpick) allow to cool, slide knife along sides, flip onto plate (adding back any topping stuck in the pan)
