Ingredients

3/4 cup mix of Chilled butter & Veggie Shortening

2 1/4 cup Flour

3/4 tsp salt

3 Tbsp sugar

6-7 Tbsp cold water

Preparation

Food Processor Method

  • Add chopped butter & shortening, flour, salt & sugar to food processor
  • Pulse until it resembles cornmeal
  • Add water a little at a time until blended ** it should not form a ball** ** it should be damp enough to the touch to mass together**
  • Turnout onto a floured board and pat into 2 smooth cakes, 1 slightly larger than the other
  • Roll out dough, place in pan and chill for 30 minutes
