Ingredients

2 1/2 can (large) cling peach halves, drained

Syrup:

3/4 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup vinegar

2-3 sticks cinnamon

1 teaspoon whole cloves

1 teaspoon whole allspice

Preparation

Boil syrup ingredients for 15 minutes. Add drained peaches to syrup and simmer for 5 minutes. Allow fruit to stand overnight in the refrigerator.

Serve chilled. When peaches are gone, another batch can be made by reheating reserved syrup with additional peach halves.
