Ingredients
2 - 22oz. cans crushed tomato
1 - can tomato puree
1/2 onion, chopped fine
3 - celery stalks (to be removed)
1 - green pepper, quartered
garlic, minced
oregano, basil, blk pepper
1/2 lb pork sausage
1 1/2 lb. burger
1- egg
1/4 cup matzo meal
salt & pepper
Preparation
Sauce: Combine all the ingredients and simmer for 3-4 hours. Remove celery stalks & green pepper. Add 1 T sugar if too acidic. Meat Balls:mix sausage, burger,egg,2 tbsp minced onion, s&p. form into balls, pan sear and add to sauce.
