Ingredients
4 ounces unsweetened chocolate
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips (divided)
1/3 cup butter
1 cup sugar
3 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup flour
1/4 tsp baking soda
2 tbl. unsweeteded cocoa powder
1/4 tsp salt
powdered sugar for dusting
Preparation
In large saucepan over low heat, melt unsweetened choc. 1 cup choc chips, vanilla and butter together, stirring until smooth.
Remove form heat and let cool for 10 min.
In large bowl, beat eggs and sugar together for 2 miniutes on medium speed.
Beat in the vanilla and chocolate mixture.
Combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt, add to the to the chocolate mixture just until combined.
Stir in the remaining choc chips.
Cover dough and chill for at least 3 hours.
Roll dough in 1 inch balls and roll in powdered sugar.
Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes.
