Ingredients

4 c. tightly packed basil leaves

1/2 c. olive oil

2 garlic cloves, crushed (or more to taste)

6 sprigs of flat leaf parsley

salt and pepper to taste

1/4 c. pine nuts, walnuts, or almonds, toasted

1/2 c. freshly grated Reggiano Parmesan

Preparation

Place the basil in a food processor. Add oil, garlic, parsley, salt, pepper, and nuts. Process until everything is chopped very fine. Add grated cheese and stir.
