Ingredients
1 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
2 egg yolks
1/2 t vanilla
1/2 t almond extract
1/2 t lemon extract
2 c sifted flour
1 t baking powder
Preparation
Cream shortening and sugar together. Blend in egg yolks, vanilla, almond and lemon extract. Sift flour and baking powder and add to shortening mixture. Blend thoroughly and form dough by rounded teaspoonfuls into small balls and place on ungreased baking sheets. Do not flatten. Bake at 300 degrees 20-25 minutes or until lightly browned. May need extra liquid to hold together the dough.
