Ingredients
1 pound brussels sprouts
salt and pepper to taste
2 T. butter
1/4 c. honey
1/4 c. Dijon mustard
dried cranberries (or cherries) to taste
Preparation
Trim sprouts and cut a shallow “x” in the stem end of each sprout. Steam for 8 minutes until tender.Drain and rinse in cold water. Cut in quarters and reserve. Whisk honey and mustard together. Melt butter in a pan right before serving, and add the quartered sprouts. Give them time to brown slightly. Then add the honey/mustard mixture, salt and pepper to taste. Sprinkle with dried cranberries or tart cherries and serve!
