Ingredients
2-3 green onions, chopped
1 each green and red pepper (cut into 1" squares)
2 lb lean beef minced
2 tsp tomato paste
1 can garlic pasta sauce
3/4 cup Ragu pasta sauce
1 - 2 tsp pepper
1/3 tsp turmeric
3/4 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
Sprinkle of herbs - oregano or basil
A pinch of thyme
Preparation
Heat oil, and green onions and salt. Fry a little and add the peppers and cook for a few minutes. Add mince and garlic. Cook stirring occasionally. Add ground black pepper, pinch of turmeric and tomato sauces and herbs. Cover and cook on low heat till the colour of the sauce becomes dark and oil rises.
