Ingredients
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 cup shortening
1 tablespoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup buttermilk
Preparation
Preheat oven to 400. Combine dry ingredients. Cut shortening in (until pieces are the size of a nut). Stir in milk. Roll in well-floured hands to shape into about 16 biscuits. Cook 2nd rack from the top for 15 minutes.
