Ingredients
few tablespoons olive oil to saute
4 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 teaspoon (more or less, to taste) crushed red pepper flakes
28 oz. can crushed tomatoes
dash salt
1 package penne
2 Tablespoons vodka
1/2 cup to 1 cup heavy cream
chopped parsley or cilantro to garnish
Preparation
Mince the garlic cloves, then saute them in the olive oil with the red pepper flakes until the garlic is tender. Then add the crushed tomatoes and simmer until sauce has thickened slightly. Add dash of salt to taste. Cook penne, drain and return to pot. Toss it with tomato sauce and add vodka. Let it absorb for a minute, then add heavy cream, let it soak a little and then stir well. Sprinkle with chopped parley or cilantro.
