Ingredients
1/2 c. olive oil)
3 or 4 cloves of garlic
1 cup of vodka
1 to 2 cups of crushed tomatoes
1 cup heavy cream
Parmesan cheese
salt and pepper to taste
minced basil
Preparation
Put crushed garlic in oil and cook, but do not let garlic get brown . Add vodka and simmer 1 to 2 minutes. Add tomatoes, salt, pepper and basil and simmer till vodka burns off and sauce gets pink and thick: 10 to 15 minutes. Cook penne, drain and add to sauce. Serve with parmesan cheese and fresh basil on top.
