Ingredients

Pecan Pastry

1 cup all-purpose flour

¼ cup ground pecans

¼ tsp. salt

¼ cup + 2 Tbs butter

1 Tbs brandy

1-2 Tbs cold water

Double Pecan Pie

1 cup light corn syrup​

¾ cup sugar​

3 eggs​

3 Tbs butter, melted

1 (or 2) Tbs brandy​

1 tsp vanilla extract

¼ tsp salt

1 cup pecan pieces

​1 cup pecan halves

Pecan Pastry (see below)

9" pie plate

Preparation

Pecan Pastry

Combine flour, pecans, salt; cut in butter. Sprinkle with brandy and water. Form into a ball; chill 30 minutes before rolling out.

Double Pecan Pie

Combine these ingredients; beat at medium speed until blended. Stir in pecan pieces. Pour into pastry. Top with pecan halves (use a circular or spiral pattern for a decorative effect). Bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes. Cover edges with foil if necessary.
