Ingredients

1st Layer:

1/2 C. butter

1/2 C. oleo

1 C. brown sugar

2 C. flour

1/2 tsp. salt

2nd Layer:

5 eggs

1 C. sugar, added gently

1 tsp. vanilla

1 C. dark corn syrup

1/2 tsp. salt

1 1/2 C. pecans, coarsely chopped

Preparation

1st Layer: Mix together until blended. Pat into a cake pan 9 x 13. Bake 10 min. in 350 degree oven. 2nd Layer: Beat eggs and add sugar gradually. Add vanilla, dark corn syrup, salt and nuts. Pour egg mixture over baked mixture. Bake for 15 min. in 350 degree oven. Turn oven down to 275 degrees and bake 20 min. more.
