Ingredients

1/4 cup water

1/2 cup pecan butter (or almond or other)

1 cup soy milk or almond milk

2 teaspoons minced fresh garlic

1 1/2 pounds greens, like steamed broccoli, spinach, etc.

Preparation

In a saucepan, heat water to boiling. Add pecan butter, and stir until dissolved. Add soy milk and garlic. Heat to just below boiling, stirring constantly. Stir in broccoli or spinach or your choice of greens. Serve hot or cold, topped with chopped pecans, if desired. *To make pecan butter I take frozen pecans and grind them in my food processor with the S blade until smooth. A small amount of cooked whole grain pasta is a good addition also, especially for kids :)
