Ingredients

2 cups + 2 tablespoons all purpose flour

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

12 tablespoons unsalted butter melted

1 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 egg + 1 yolk

2 tsp vanilla

1 cup chopped pecans

1 1/2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips

Preparation

Preheat oven to 325 degrees 2 large baking sheets lined with parchment whisk flour,baking soda and salt (set aside) cream sugars and butter until light and fluffy add eggs one at a time add the vanilla mix in flour just until combined. Stir in nuts and chips. chill dough slightly then roll a teaspoon in the palm of your hand and split in half. Jam both halves together so that top of the cookie remains jagged.
