Ingredients
1 3/4 cups flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 egg
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
48 Hershey’s stars or kisses
Preparation
Cream shortening and peanut butter, gradually adding brown sugar and granulated sugar. Add eggs, vanilla and milk. Add dry ingredients.
Shape into balls, then roll balls in sugar and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 for 7-10 minutes.
Remove from oven and top each cookie immediately with a chocolate star or kiss, pressing down firmly.
